There are many professional associations comprised of professionals (and students) who have an interest in a particular area of the higher education industry. Many also have reduced membership fees for students.

ACPA is an organization that serves all levels of higher education student affairs professionals through educational and developmental programs, publications and networking. Next Gen is an undergraduate program run each year at the national conference.

Association of College and University Housing Officers – International is an organization that offers programs, services, research, and development for its housing members.

Group for college union and activities professionals worldwide. Members include student activities directors, food service administrators, program coordinators, fiscal officers, recreation managers, programming board members, student employees and deans.

The Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) is the leading voice for student conduct professionals in higher education.

Boston Area College Housing Association is an association of university housing offices in New England which offers a RA consortium and program which is run annually.

Organization for tutors and learning resource centers. Undergraduate student tutors can get certified through this group.

NACA is an association of colleges, talent firms, artists/performers, student programmers and leaders, and professional campus activities staff.

 


National Association for College Admission Counseling is an association for admissions counselors.http://www.naspa.org/

Comprehensive organization for those working in student affairs in colleges and universities. The association is divided into regions around the country who have their own annual conferences.  SALT (Student Affairs Leaders of Tomorrow) is a program offered at the regional conference level to undergraduates interested in entering the field of Student Affairs.

National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association – A professional organization committed to building quality intramural and recreational sports and fitness programs.


The National Orientation Directors Association (NODA) is committed to providing services related to new student programs in institutions of higher education.  Student memberships are available for graduates and undergraduates.
